Ibiza. An island known for only providing the best times in nightlife, has made headlines recently for a different reason. News broke out earlier this month that the owner of the famed club, Amnesia, was arrested. According to a local publication, the Spanish Civil Guard raided the club and arrested four employees, including owner Martin Ferrer.
According to reports, the raid is part of an ongoing investigation involving five years of corporate tax evasion and accusations of money laundering.
A few days after the initial arrest, over €2 million Euros were confiscated from the club after agents found the money hidden in the building. A money counting machine was found as well.
While the investigation continues, the club will remain open.
